The Challenge

Drain Alert were engaged to carry out sink hole remediation works on the university’s estate – in an exceptionally sensitive location directly between two structural columns of a university building with listed status. Every aspect of the project was subject to intense scrutiny from both construction professionals working across the university and senior management. The structural integrity of the listed building had to be maintained throughout, with zero risk of damage to the adjacent columns.

The Outcome

“Now that the first phase of sink hole works have concluded on site, I wanted to send a quick email congratulating Drain Alert on the successful completion of phase one. As everybody is aware, the project took place under the gaze of every construction professional working for the University as well as various high-level managers. This led to particularly intense scrutiny being put on the project. Drain Alert handled this with great professionalism. To make matters more difficult, the works area was located in extremely close proximity and between two structural columns of a University feature listed building. The success of the project is therefore a credit to all involved.”
